The municipality has a land area of 306.80 square kilometers or 118.46 square miles which constitutes 3.26% of Cagayan’s total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 35,234. This represented 2.78% of the total population of Cagayan province, or 0.96% of the overall population of the Cagayan Valley region. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 115 inhabitants per square kilometer or 297 inhabitants per square mile.
Project Profile of Municipality of Allacapan
EIGEL Management Consulting worked with the Municipality of Allacapan as the main consultant for the enhancement of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP). This allows the EIGEL to build a strong collaboration with the LGU Planning Team of Allacapan. Their project involves data-gathering through Key Informant interviews, workshops, discussions, and research writing for the land-use planning. EIGEL was also involved in various public hearings that Allacapan underwent for the improvement and accomplishment of its CLUP.

Alignment Meeting
- To gather data and information through key informant interviews. This will allow the members to align their goals and objectives.

Coordination Meeting
- To focus group discussions and define workshops, research and writing of the plans. This will involve meetings between the representatives of the provider (e.g. EIGEL) and the recipient (intended companies/beneficiaries).

Public Hearing
- To hold a CLUP public meeting with the stakeholders of the municipality in order to gather opinions from the community regarding the issues and needs of the Municipality. To find possible solutions to existing problems. Lastly, to inform and discuss the plans for the development of the municipality.
